Kaos Footballista, Nam the Man has won another European Football Freestyle Competition winning the Red Bull Austrian European Invitational at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts venue on Saturday

Nam defeated another Kaos Footballista in Swedish Champion, Palle in a closely fought Final where Nam’s overall originality and trick variety again won favour with the Judges who included the world famous international footballer, Edgar Davids.

The road to the Final was by no means easy for Nam who had to come through three one on one battles with arguably some of the best Football Freestylers on the Planet before meeting Palle in the ultimate clash!

The first round was perhaps one of the toughest as Nam came up against French legend, Sean. Nam came through this round in what was voted the most entertaining, creative and stylish match up by the crowd. Nam lived up to his title of the “French Killer” (earned when winning the Komball European Title in Paris in February) when he defeated another Frenchman, Andreas in a closely fought Quarter Final.

The Semi-Final saw Nam paired up against Bosnian Nejad who seemed to have used up all his best moves to get to this stage in the competition. Nam on the other hand started to pull out some of his key moves to easily win over the judges!

Nam was obviously overjoyed with yet another European victory but was by no means complacent about his win, “I knew that I risked losing my European title here but the most important thing for me was to again do battle with the best Europe has to offer, express myself and learn whatever I could about both myself as a Freestyler and from the other guys competing!” he said. “I am keen to put myself out there on the world stage as we all gear up and build towards the Red Bull World Football Freestyle Championship  in Brazil later in the year!” he added.

This competition saw fourteen of Europe’s best Freestylers invited to compete in Vienna along with the best qualifying Austrian talent.

Overall, Nam and Palle finished first and second respectively, with Dutchman, Daniel Rooseboom de Vries coming in third. With the best Austrian competitor, 18 year old Faruk Onmaz from Lower Austria making the quarter finals and therefore qualifying to represent his country at the World Red Bull Finals in Sao Paulo.

The rest of Europe will be holding its breath as it awaits to see which other of Europe’s elite Football Freestylers will pit their talents against competitors from Central & South America, Asia and Africa for the Red Bull Street Style title in Brazil this coming November!

And Kaos Football hopes to have as many Kaos Footballistas there in Brazil as possible!
